LIVE lifestyle – The Ministry of Health has begun to give polio vaccination for one week, aimed at 95,603 children aged 0 to 12 in the District of Pidie, Aceh starting Monday, November 28, 2022.

In addition to Pidie district, Polio Sub PIN will also be implemented in 21 other regencies/cities in Aceh province. The implementation will be carried out in phases with 2 shifts and a target audience of approximately 1,217,939 children aged 0-12 years.
“Each round of Sub PIN will be done within 1 week plus 5 days of scanning. The minimum distance between rounds is one month, with a target of at least 95% evenly distributed across the region.” said Prima Yosephine, plt. In detail, the first round of Sub PIN will be held at Pidie Regency starting November 28, 2022.
Followed by next schedule on 5th December 2022 which will be held in Banda Aceh city, Aceh Besar, Pidie Jaya, Bireun, North Aceh and Sabang city. Then, starting from 12 December 2022, polio immunization will be held in other districts/cities in Aceh province.
Meanwhile, the second round of Sub PIN will start on the 4th week of January 2023 covering all areas of Aceh province.
