Details: Apple’s hardware investments reduced in 2023

Apple’s hardware investment for 2023 looks like it could be toned down somewhat, it reports Apple Insiders.

At the heart of the hardware appears to be a new one Mac Pro which will be equipped with the new M2 chip but, on the other hand, keep the old chassis from 2019. Much also indicates Apple showing its alleged mixed reality headset during the spring.

Otherwise, it looks like it’s going to be pretty cheesy with updates. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, there are reports of a new Imac Pro, but the chance of it being released this year is considered very low. Updates to the 14-inch and 16-inch versions of the Macbook Pro should be on the way, but they’ll focus solely on the internal hardware. There are, however, rumors of a new 15-inch Macbook Air.

Looking at the iPad, we could perhaps see minor updates to the iPad, iPad Air, and iPad Mini, but there doesn’t appear to be a new iPad Pro or larger iPad this year. No major changes are expected as far as Apple Watch, Airpods and there should be no plans for a new Apple TV. The larger Homepod model, on the other hand, is rumored to return in 2023, but even then, it’s a minor update.
