Destruction Spreads Amidst Thunderstorm and Rainfall in Thrissur – Deshabhimani

Vellikulangara> Cyclone wind and rain caused damage in Vellikulangara on Saturday evening. Trees were broken at various places. During the storm, the coconut tree fell on the power line and on top of the tipper lorry. The front part of the lorry was damaged. Banana, gourd, coconut and castor trees were extensively destroyed. About 200 Nentra bananas belonging to Koplipadam Pejeri Unnikrishnan and East Kotali Atiyarat Dinesan were broken by the wind. Power connection was also disrupted in KSEB Vellikulangara section. Around 1200 banana trees of Kodunga Manjukaran Anthony and Mohanan were destroyed by the cyclone. A coconut fell on top of the sun shade of Manjukaran Davis’ house. Half of the roof of the pickle company was blown off in the storm. Pumpkin and teak trees fell to the cemetery of Kodunga church. Read on deshabhimani.com
