After several weeks of teasing and the arrival of the Pyramids in the solar system, Bungie has finally lifted the veil on the next expansion of Destiny 2. It will offer players to explore new environments and fight a whole new threat.
Called Beyond Light, this extension will arrive on September 22 on consoles and PC. On this occasion Bungie specifies that the players who will buy Destiny 2 with this extension on Xbox One will be able to benefit from Smart delivery. Purchases made on PS4 will also be updated on PS5 when it is released. To return to the subject of this new extension, players will be invited to explore Europe, Jupiter’s frozen moon, or one new and threatening power, called Stase, was born from the Pyramid ship. Each of the three classes can use this power in different ways, and Bungie will tell us more about it later this summer. Players will be able to explore the planet on the surface, but also infiltrate the Braytech complex, created during the Golden Age.
Obviously, who says new extension says new raid. Beneath the surface hides the crypt of the Buried Stone, which has remained quiet for decades. As usual, six goalies will have to team up and coordinate perfectly to see the end, and unlock the rewards that go with it. Furthermore, players will have to deal with a Fallen leader called Vigris. On Europa, the latter has founded a new faction or even a new empire. Abandoned by the Light and the Traveler, Eramis will rise up at one point or another on the path of the Guardians. The players who Preorder Destiny 2: Beyond the Light will immediately receive an exotic spectrum shell, and a legendary emblem. Those who will opt for the Digital Deluxe Edition will, in addition to the rest, have access to an exotic emote entitled “We don’t move anymore!”.
