Despite winning the first Test, India’s headache does not go away; Rohit should have put his hand on his head

India won the first Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy by a huge margin. India won by an innings and 132 runs.

Captain Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten century and Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin’s brilliant performance gave India an easy win.

Rohit Sharma and his team will go into the second Test in Delhi with the same confidence as they won the first Test.

However, ahead of the second Test, there is not so good news that is bothering the Indian camp. There are indications that superstar Shreyas Iyer may not play in the second Test.

According to a PTI report, Shreyas Iyer is likely to miss the second Test as well. Iyer has been pulled out of the second Test due to a back injury. Shreyas Iyer is currently with the National Cricket Association in Bengaluru.

Earlier, the player was injured during the India-New Zealand series. Following this, there were reports that the player might miss the first match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy and join the team in the second match.

Along with Shreyas Iyer’s injury, superstar Jasprit Bumrah’s health is also suffering for India. It was announced that Bumrah, who has been absent from the team for a long time due to injury, may return in the third and fourth Tests of the series against Australia.

But a few days ago, the BCCI took the position that no decision should be taken in haste regarding Bumrah.

BCCI sources inform that since the ICC World Cup is being held this year, it is not possible to take any risk in Bumrah’s case and there is no plan to do anything in a hurry.

There were reports that Bumrah will be with the team for the India-Australia ODI series starting on March 17. But according to new reports, Bumrah is unlikely to play the ODI series as well. The India-Australia series consists of three ODIs.

Fans are not happy with the team who have gone to fill the gap of both of them. As the ODI World Cup is also being held this year, India’s ODI specialists losing 50 over matches will not bode well for India in the World Cup as well.
