Cyclone Isaias hit the east coast of Florida and caused heavy rains and high waves.
Despite warnings not to be fooled by the downgrading of the hurricane to a tropical storm, some daring surfers on the beaches like Juno Beach took risks.
The authorities closed parks and corona virus test stations. Florida’s governor warned of possible blackouts and urged people to move to shelters while maintaining social distance.
The cyclone had swept over parts of the Bahamas island chain at the weekend with storm gusts of 120 km / h, tearing smaller roofs with it and uprooted trees.
Cyclone Isaias will move towards the Geogia coast, according to the National Hurricane Center (NHC).
