A closure when the workforce must increase
In this letter, they express their astonishment at seeing a class close when the number of students increases. They insist that small classes allow pupils to work better, and children with learning difficulties have every chance of success. They also evoke a Rased post (Network of specialized help for pupils in difficulty) which was not replaced at the start of the 2020 school year and which could offset overloaded classes.
They recall that the municipality of Guillestre has specific characteristics linked to a mountain region such as regular fluctuations in the number of families and therefore of children in school and that this must be taken into account when drawing up the map. school, as provided for in the mountain law of December 2016.

“We don’t want a two-tier school”
He therefore asks those concerned to reconsider this decision to close the class and say: “We want acceptable learning conditions for all our children, whatever their difficulties. And we don’t want a two-tier school where those who have difficulty are left behind for lack of resources. ”
From this Monday, a petition against the closure of the class will circulate in Guillestre to collect signatures and a demonstration should be organized the following week. The date has not yet been set.
