PACHUCA, Hgo., January 27, 2023.- The Government of Hidalgo and the Government of the Republic signed an agreement for the Construction of Peace with which they commit actions and investment in security matters.

Within the framework of this agreement, signed by Governor Julio Menchaca Salazar, Secretary of Government Guillermo Olivares Reyna, Secretary of State Public Security Salvador Cruz Neri on the state side and Adán Augusto López Hernández Secretary of the Interior together with Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez as head of the Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), agreed on the country’s pacification strategy.

In this regard, after signing this instrument, Menchaca Salazar pointed out that the development of public policies that allow addressing the problems that the state is going through is intended.

He added that this ensures for Hidalgo the arrival of extraordinary resources, which will be destined for the infrastructure, cameras, security equipment, this without specifying how much said amount of support amounts to.

In his speech, Menchaca Salazar mentioned that when a problem is allowed to grow, such as the huachicol and criminal gangs, not only is the nation’s heritage being stolen, but the integrity of the people is also put at risk.

In this sense, he exemplified, under the fight against this ballast of hydrocarbon theft, that, almost 5 months after assuming the assignment, there are concrete data, ranging from the seizure of more than 500,000 liters of fuel, 16 properties made available to the authorities, 152 vehicles confiscated and 117 arrested for these activities.

“There is firmness, commitment, decision, there is integrity,” he said after highlighting the actions undertaken by his collaborators.

The person in charge of Mexico’s internal policy, Adán Augusto López Hernández, also briefly referred to the problem of fuel theft for which Hidalgo stands out and assured that despite this situation, it continues to be one of the safest entities in the country.

In this sense, he mentioned that proof of the above is that last September Menchaca took office as governor with the ninth place of security among the 32 federal entities, and for almost 5 months he is in sixth position, for which he predicted that Hidalgo and his administration will be an example and will climb more steps to be among the safest in Mexico.
