The 21st season of the ratings hit Million hunt every week creates the necessary tension in the studio of the program, but also in the home of the viewers. Tonight it was Hans’s turn, who lives in Woerden with his wife and two daughters. The family has a big dream: they want a farmhouse. Perhaps that wish could be fulfilled if Hans left the program with a substantial sum of money.
Hans, who seemed to have everything under control, chose number 14 as his ‘lucky box’ of the evening. “That is the day of my birthday,” explained Hans. And besides, he also had a thing for even numbers. “So it must be 14,” he explained to De Mol.
Already in the first round Hans saw the stunner of 5 million pass him by. Painful, but of course that did not spoil the fun. In the rest of the rounds it did not look good for Hans either; one large amount after another flew out. “I already had such a hunch,” he confessed to Linda de Mol, who did not want to demotivate him and so gave him some courage. Hans, who received an offer of 67,000 euros, decided to take the gamble and chose again no deal. “With this amount, a farm will not become it”, De Mol concluded dryly.

Fortunately, the farm was not Hans’s only dream. He also liked a trip with his family to Canada. And so he turned down the bank’s offer again and steadily continued to open the briefcases. Now he had better luck, because he played away the 20 euros, 5 euros and 25,000 euros. “Mallerd, you are just doing very well!” De Mol exclaimed enthusiastically. In the meantime, the bank did its best to win over Hans with a bid of 155,000 euros. But he also renounced that enormous amount: Hans accepted the challenge and decided to try the last five suitcases. “You are so heroic, I hope it will be rewarded,” said De Mol.
That reward failed to materialize. Hans decided to have case 13 opened, but to his horror it contained the mega amount of 500,000 euros. The bank immediately struck and made an offer of 150,000 euros. That was the moment when Hans chose eggs for his money and pressed the red button. “The gamble will be very big otherwise,” he explained.
As always, Linda and Hans finished the form game. In the end Hans turned out to have made a very wise choice by closing the deal: his ‘lucky suitcase’ only contained 50 cents. And with that, his dream trip to Canada had remained just a dream.
