Malmö FF aims for the women’s league.
But judging by the premiere in the elite class, it doesn’t look like it will be a bed of roses.
At home against Umeå, they suffered a big loss, 0–4.
Malmö FF has gone like a rocket in the series system in recent years with 74 straight series victories and 569 goals scored.
Ahead of the debut season in the elite top flight, Skånelaget has a clear goal: to advance to the Women’s All-Svenskan.
But at home against Umeå IK, another top aspiring team, they went on a slap in the face that was called enough.

Conceded goal directly
Already in the second minute came the first cold shower when Nathalie Hoff Persson headed the ball into her own goal in connection with a corner.
0–2 came after ten minutes of play and eleven minutes later came the third goal behind.
But the nightmare didn’t end there.
Umeå IK scored another goal before the break through 16-year-old Inez Amcoff and led 4–0.
That was also the end result.
Malmö FF has otherwise had a somewhat tumultuous upload where head coach Kim Björkegren left his position a week before the premiere – after only six months on the job.
