One of the names you would honestly expect to take part in such an adventure is that of Véronique De Kock. As a former Miss Belgium, you don’t expect this woman to last long without money and the luxury of a road trip.
Véronique De Kock will be on the road with her son Sébastien in the program, which will be shown on TV from Tuesday 12 November. They are dropped 2,500 kilometers from home. The journey home is divided into six stages, where each duo must check in at different checkpoints as quickly as possible.
There are no guarantees or guarantees on the way. The participants must find their own food, organize a shelter and raise a score from strangers in unknown lands. Something Véronique also has mixed feelings about before starting the journey.

“When they asked me to join, my first thought was: ‘Say no more, when are we leaving?!’ It’s nice to do this with my son Sébastien and spend quality time with him before he leaves the house!
“But soon the other thought came: ‘Wait, do I really want this? Hitchhiking through unknown countries, without food or money? That’s not true for me. I’ve never moved so much in my life and I love being in control!’”
“But I knew: together with Sébastien we will do this. And that’s what made it so intense and special. This will be an adventure you will never forget. I bet we’ll still be talking about this in 30 years!”
Son Sébastien doesn’t usually travel like this either. “I really like traveling with my mother, but of course the circumstances were unexpected and stressful. Discovering new places, meeting new people, great. I knew my mom would be fine. He always has the coolest ideas and will continue to do so. “
