Microsoft has confirmed that Xbox Series X will be launched in November, despite delaying its star title for the season

Hours ago, Xbox decided to deliver one of the strongest and most surprising announcements in recent months (in video games). The American brand decided to delay Halo Infinite, which was planned to launch at Christmas this year, until 2021. It makes sense that they have delayed it, after all, what they showed in their presentation did not impress many players. It gave the impression that the 343 Industries project was being held up by duct tape and staples. You’d think this will lead to console delays, but the Xbox Series X is still going.

In a extenso blogpost, Xbox shared information about the launch of the Xbox Series X. Nothing about its price (of course), but explaining what the Series X will have at its launch. For this year, Microsoft ensures that the console will have games like Watch Dogs: Legion, Gears Tactics and Yakuza: Like a Dragon. In addition to that, they already have 40 games that will take advantage of the power of the console. Perhaps the most obvious of these is Ori and the Will of the Wisps, which had performance issues on the other Xbox for being too demanding.

Will this be enough to sell millions of units? Probably yes. However, it is impossible to deny that thousands of people, if not hundreds of thousands, will not buy the console until they can get their hands on Halo. For others, technology and Backwards Compatibility with previous generations will suffice, but this group must be a minority.
