Despite bankruptcy: Golfing at the Köbbinghof in Möhnesee is still possible

Games on the golf course in Völlinghausen should be guaranteed in December. How things will continue after that is currently under discussion.

Völlinghausen – He had already announced it in a letter to the members of the Möhnesee Golf Club at the beginning of November: Klaus Röper, managing director of “Möhne Golfbau GmbH”, leaseholder and operator of the facility at Köbbinghof, informed the members of the company’s imminent insolvency said goodbye to them. Meanwhile the lawyers have the floor.

In response to Röper’s letter, club president Hajo Stockhausen obtained legal assistance and advised the club members in a circular on November 16 not to make any further payments to “Möhne Golfbau GmbH” for the game. Since it is not certain that the course will be playable in December, it could otherwise be, so Stockhausen, that there will be no consideration for the money. Instead, it is entirely possible that these payments would flow into the bankruptcy estate – and only partially, if at all, could later be reclaimed.

Two days after this letter, the situation changed: On November 18, Röper made his announcement true and actually filed for bankruptcy at the Arnsberg District Court. The Marsberg lawyer Wilfried Pohle was appointed provisional insolvency administrator and turned to the members of the association last Thursday, November 26th. The property owner Hilmar von Bardeleben had already terminated the lease without notice in the summer, informed Pohle, and expected the “handover of the site” at the end of the year. The lawyer concludes from this that “Möhne Golfbau GmbH” will still guarantee gaming operations in December – and therefore the membership fees for this month will also have to be paid.

How things should go after that, so the insolvency administrator, is currently the subject of discussions between the owner and the association. One thing is already clear: “Möhne Golfbau GmbH” is history. Hilmar von Bardeleben had already announced a few weeks ago to the Anzeiger that his family wanted to run the plant on their own.
