European aircraft manufacturer Airbus is severely affected by the corona crisis, but was still able to secure an order on Wednesday. The new Greek airline Sky Express has become a customer and has ordered four medium-haul aircraft of the A320neo type. Two other devices of the same type are leasing from ACG.

Financial details were not disclosed on Wednesday, but the list price is over 400 million euros. Orders for new passenger aircraft have become rare since the corona pandemic. On the contrary, due to the decline in air traffic, many airlines are asking to take their already ordered aircraft into service later or are negotiating a different solution. Both Airbus and its American competitor Boeing have already adjusted their production. They are also planning thousands of layoffs.
