Germany – Bayer Leverkusen missed out on their third straight Bundesliga win after being denied a penalty.
Gerardo Seoane’s team had to settle for a goalless draw in the 29th round in Bochum.
Bayer Leverkusen thought they had taken the lead in the 65th minute. Although he slipped, Moussa Diaby converted the penalty. Because the ball landed in the goal via the Frenchman’s standing leg, referee Felix Zwayer rightly disallowed the goal. Despite the loss of points, Leverkusen remains well on course towards the Champions League.
For Eintracht Frankfurt, on the other hand, the European places are difficult to reach. After the 1: 2 against SC Freiburg, Frankfurt are five points behind a place in the Conference League. Nils Petersen, who came on as a substitute eight minutes earlier, scored the winning goal for Freiburg.
Leipzig is in 4th three points ahead of the amazing SC Freiburg. In the 3-0 home win against Hoffenheim, Leipzig quickly made things clear. Thanks in part to Christopher Nkunku’s 17th goal of the season, the Saxons were three goals ahead after just 45 minutes.
