The government urges the public to implement salat Idul Adha at home with family for Emergency PPM. The Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) revealed that there were 36 mosques in Jakarta that held the Eid al -Adha prayers, Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan also spoke up.
This was stated by the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DMI, Makmun Al Ayyubi. Makmun said reports of mosques carrying out Eid prayers at most in the North Jakarta area.
“We have only received reports in a few places. I saw (reports from) the field (in) North Jakarta. Then there is Central Jakarta, the Nurussamaniyah Mosque,” said Makmun when contacted, Tuesday (20/7/2021).
Makmun said this will be a joint evaluation. In the future, he asked that mosques follow the government’s advice not to perform congregational prayers in time Emergency PPM.
“We are only suggestions, appeals, together with MUI and NU and all Islamic institutional and mass organizations. Even though in reality there are still many viral events that hold it. This will be our evaluation going forward,” he said.
