/ world today news/ The next meeting of the actresses from the series “Desperate Housewives” is… in court. The reason is the case brought by Nicolette Sheridan against the creator of the series Mark Cherry.
The actress, who played Edie on Wisteria Lane, stormed out of the show after, she says, Cherry slapped her on set.
The producer lost his temper because Sheridan expressed disagreement with part of the script. Eventually, after the drama between the two, Mark flips the script and hastily kills Nicolette’s character in a car crash.
She is now suing him for wrongful termination of the contract, breach of contract, and personal injury, Perez Hilton reported.
Last July, when filing the documents for the now-opened case, the actress claimed that Cherry fired her “because she’s a woman.”
All her former colleagues and colleagues from the series will have to testify in court. Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Neal McDonagh are expected to unanimously say that Cherry never hit Sheridan.
Other current and former ABC bosses will be called as witnesses.
