Designgut Winterthur – Young designers present sustainable products

Zeno Widmer from Winterthur was among the exhibitors. The young qualified fashion designer presented his thesis – a multi-part collection of subtle everyday clothes made from sustainable wood fibers. “My theme was minimalism, so I mainly used inconspicuous beige tones in terms of color,” Widmer told TELE TOP.

“The topic of sustainability also plays a major role for me – the lyocell clothing is made in Switzerland.” Sustainability is the focus of the entire fair – you can see that in the unisex collection by Margaret Waiyego Zollinger from Zurich. “I produce my parts in a small family business in northern Italy,” emphasizes the textile designer in an interview with TELE TOP. “All the clothes are designed in such a way that there is no off-cuts, i.e. waste, in production. This is how we take care of the valuable material cotton. “
