Designers of Diana’s wedding dress fight in court to sketch sales | NOW

Designers David and Elizabeth Emanuel argue over sketches of designs they created for Princess Diana. Elizabeth had auctioned a number of drawings without consulting her ex-husband, reports Daily Mail.

David went to court because he also owns the designs and wants to prevent his ex from selling sketches again in the future, the British newspaper reports.

The couple were responsible for several of Diana’s designs, including the dress she wore in 1981 during her marriage to Prince Charles. Elizabeth has auctioned sketches of the wedding dress, among other things, in recent years, much to David’s dismay.

He states that during their divorce in 1990 the two agreed not to use the name Emanuel anymore. That is why David believes that selling the sketches violated that convention.

He also claims damages and wants the drawings that his ex still has to be destroyed.
