Design contest “Kengo Kuma & higashikawa” KAGU Design
Ministry of Foreign Affairs We would like to invite students and anyone interested in furniture design and fabrication to participate in the “Kengo Kuma & higashikawa” KAGU Design project. The theme is “Wooden Chair Design (KAGU)” expecting new “KAGU” designs. To be able to connect and guide life Simple and modern With ideas from young people representing the future of the next generation This competition is a collaboration between Higashikawa City with Mr. Kengo Kuma, a renowned architect in the world-class local construction and design and a professor at the University of Tokyo. Eligibility for the contest is students, both residing in Japan and abroad, under the age of 30 (until March 31, 2021), who can submit one single or group entry per person / group. There is no application cost.

Judging and awarding It will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021 in Higashikawa City.
