The island of Voluc is characterized by offering some of the Pokémon most used to extreme conditions in terms of temperature, being so in New Pokémon Snap we will find 15 of these species in the Desert, an area that is characterized by lacking its own Legendary Pokémon. So keep reading to find out how to complete the Desert Photodex
All Pokémon in the Desert Fotodex
Only 15 Pokémon can be found in the desert in the wild, both by Day and by Night, so keep reading this part of our New Pokémon Snap Guide to discover who they are:
Crusted
- 1 Star Photo: Any photo you take in the Desert will be worth it, both during the day and at night.
- 2 Star Photo: Use the radar to start looking around.
- 3 Star Photo: At night, in any of the 2 levels, you should look at how at the beginning of the level, near where the Crystal Flowers are, there is a Skorupi. He will end up being hit by a Minior that falls from the sky, which will make him face up. Take the photo here.
- 4 Star Photo: You must enter Level 1 during the Day, as this will be the only time you see Skorupi fly out into one of the tornadoes.
Cacnea
- 1 Star Photo: In the desert, take a photo of him at either of the two times.
- 2 Star Photo: Throw him a Blanzana and wait for him to start eating it.
- 3 Star Photo: During the day mainly, at level 2-3, look at the first dune on the right as two Cacnea are rolling from the top of it.
- 4 Star Photo: Exactly the same as Skorupi, but this time Cacnea will be caught by the tornado at level 2 during the Day.
Sandshrew
- 1 Star Photo: To find it, enter the level at night. You must wait until it is not rolling.
- 2 Star Photo: In this case, take the picture of him while he is rolling on the stage.
- 3 Star Photo: In the area of the level 1 Onix, notice how a Lycanroc interacts with a Sandshrew. You must take the photo when he chases him.
- 4 Star Photo: Somewhat complicated, but at the same time simple. We recommend having the burst mode activated with 6 photos to have more ease. Just enter level 2 at night and wait for two Sandshrew to arrive. You must throw Blanzanas to make them collide with it. Take the photo here. These two will be the easiest, but anyone on the stage will do.
Trapinch
- 1 Star Photo: Any photo both day and night.
- 2 Star Photo: Throw him a Blanzana to eat.
- 3 Star Photo: In the oasis at night, you must catch him coming out (throw a Lumini Orb) when he is coming out of the earth. It is necessary that you go along the main road.
- 4 Star Photo: During the day at level 2-3, cast Luminis Orbs at the Crystalflowers at the beginning around the tornado. When Flygon comes out of this, throw a Blanzana for him to catch. Advance to the end of the level and you will see that this Flygon will give the Blanzana to two Trapinch in the deep sands, which will jump to catch it.
Flygon
- 1 Star Photo: Both day and night from level 2. During the day, launch Luminis Orbs at the Crystalflowers surrounding the sand tornado to discover that Flygon is inside it. You must wait for him to leave so that the photo is 1 star.
- 2 Star Photo: With the above method, nothing else comes out of the tornado.
- 3 Star Photo: When you exit the tornado at night and start to release bright powders.
- 4 Star Photo: During the day, you must launch the Luminis Orbs. When you release him from the tornado, throw a Blanzana and catch him by grabbing it from the ground.
Kangaskhan
- 1 Star Photo: Only at night, take a photo, either in the oasis or in the dunes.
- 2 Star Photo: You must throw a Blanzana in the oasis so that it eats it.
- 3 Star Photo: Throw Blanzanas at him and use the radar on the Kangaskhan in the dunes to make him turn around and roar.
- 4 Star Photo: During the night of level 2, you must wait for the Minior from the beginning to crash next to Skorupi before finishing the area of the dunes. Use the radar to locate Minior and start casting Luminis Orbs until he comes out. This will cause him to go to the oasis and play with Kangaskhan, who will take his baby out of the bag.
Mandibuzz
- 1 Star Photo: Any photo will be worth both day and night, since it tends to haunt the skies of this route.
- 2 Star Photo: When he is still, throw a Blanzana to hit him.
- 3 Star Photo: During the day of level 3, take the detour and throw a Blanzana at the rocky area behind Tyranitar to eat it.
- 4 Star Photo: In the same detour, to the left next to the oasis there will be several coconuts. Drop a Blanzana here to have a Mandibuzz swoop for it.
Minior
- 1 Star Photo: Any photo, but only at night.
- 2 Star Photo: Wait for me to look around once it is a nucleus with the radar.
- 3 Star Photo: Take a photo just when it crashes.
- 4 Star Photo: As soon as it crashes, it will rise releasing white powder.
Silicobra
- 1 Star Photo: Any photo will be worth both day and night.
- 2 Star Photo: Catch him just as he is about to start digging in the sand.
- 3 Star Photo: At night, throw a Blanzana at the Silicobra in the dunes. Then, in the area of the Crystalflowers, look to the left to see his tongue sticking out of the sand (he will be semi-buried). Throw another Blanzana at him. This will cause it to end up in the oasis. Take the detour to the left and you will see how it faces against a Lycanroc.
- 4 Star Photo: In this same confrontation, wait for him to throw sand from his muzzle.
Torchic
- 1 Star Photo: In the desert during the day you will be in the oasis with the naked eye.
- 2 Star Photo: Throw a Blanzana at him to hit him with this one.
- 3 Star Photo: Throw a Blanzana at her, but this time by her side, because when she goes for her, she will burn her with embers.
- 4 Star Photo: The same as the previous one, only this time you must previously launch a pair of Lúmini Orbs. In this way, the Ember will become a Flamethrower.
Heliolisk
- 1 Star Photo: It is found during the day in the first area of the Desert. Also, in advanced levels there will be one sleeping in the oasis.
- 2 Star Photo: Throw him a Blanzana to eat.
- 3 Star Photo: For this you must wait to reach level 3, at which time you will be standing walking through the dunes. Play Music to open the folds of the neck.
- 4 Star Photo: Exactly after the previous step, you must throw a Lúmini Orb at him to make his electric-type attack.
Lycanroc
- 1 Star Photo: Pokémon that has the peculiarity of appearing in both schedules, but in a different way.
- 2 Star Photo: Take a picture of him during the day so that he can eat a Blanzana.
- 3 Star Photo: At the detour, launch Blanzanas to create a path that leads to Tyranitar, starting their confrontation there.
- 4 Star Photo: At night, if he eats a Blanzana, catch him smiling.
Hippowdon
- 1 Star Photo: A Pokémon available in both schedules, although at night it usually sleeps.
- 2 Star Photo: Catch him looking around after using the radar.
- 3 Star Photo: During the day of level 3, if you look at him, you will see him stir in the sand at the end of the oasis area and before going down the sand slope.
- 4 Star Photo: Throw a Lumini Orb at the level 3 oasis. Throw another at Torchic. This will make it go up on Hippowdon.
Tyranitar
- 1 Star Photo: A photo both day and night, although the easiest thing is to capture it when you have unlocked the Day Bypass.
- 2 Star Photo: Throw him a Blanzana to eat.
- 3 Star Photo: During the day, look at the Lycanroc at the turnoff to the oasis. Go this way and launch Blanzanas to lead Lycanroc to Tyranitar. This will start the fight.
- 4 Star Photo: Right after this fight, throw a Lumini Orb at Tyranitar to smash the rock behind him.
Onix
- 1 Star Photo: General photo at night for the natural end or during the day at the detour.
- 2 Star Photo: Crawling during the day.
- 3 Star Photo: An angry photo after receiving a Blanzana.
- 4 Star Photo: On the day of level 3, throw Blanzanas at the Mandibuzz that there is just down the slope of the detour (2 to the right and 1 to the left). At the end of the route, almost at the finish line, these 3 Mandibuzz will arrive flying, causing an Onix to shoot out of the sand into the sky.
