Desert Bus for Hope Breaks Records with $1.3 Million Raised for Child’s Play Charity

After a week of driving buses Desert Bus for Hope raised nearly $1.3 million, which was then donated to the Child’s Play charity. Which is also a record since the comedy group LoadingReadyRun started this event in 2007.

What is The Desert Bus?

Desert bus game is part of the Sega CD game Penn & Teller smoke and mirrors. It is said that Penn & Teller do not like video games so the game is an experiment in boredom. It’s about driving a bus on a desert road between Tucson in Arizona to Las Vegas in Nevada. It’s an 8-hour journey and the game is built so that the bus always pulls slightly to the right, so you can’t just set your sights and drive, but you have to sit and keep on the steering wheel at all times. The game is considered one of the worst games ever made. However, the game has become something of a classic and even got a VR version back in the day.

Child’s Play is an organization that aims to make it possible for children receiving treatment in hospitals around the world. It’s about being able to give them toys and games to entertain themselves and lighten up their busy lives.
