This 22 year old athlete, born in Buleleng, Bali, is predicted to win a gold medal. The reason is that Desak’s performance will be strong in 2023. This hope can finally be realized.

Before appearing at the Asian Games, Desak became the third Indonesian athlete to win a ticket to the 2024 Olympics in Tokyo. That was after he appeared at the 2023 IFSC Climbing World Championships in Bern, Switzerland.

At that time, Desak recorded a time of 6.49 seconds, or 0.18 seconds ahead of Emma Hunt from the United States. Desak is entitled to a gold medal, a world championship title and a ticket to the 2024 Olympics.

Desak’s best record before winning the 2023 World Championship was finishing runner up in the 2022 Continental Championship, as well as second place in the Rock Climbing World Cup series in Jakarta and Salt Lake City.

Desak has been involved in the world of rock climbing since he was young. Even though it hasn’t been taken into account, Desak has become Indonesia’s representative in international rock climbing events in speed, lead and boulder events.

Desak’s previous achievement was winning gold at the 2021 National Sports Week (PON) in Papua. This achievement made his name count. The rock climbing federation is also polishing it even more.

Desak fell in love with the sport of long cliffs and seriously pursued a career as an athlete and then made achievements that made the region and country proud.
