This Thursday, June 15, 2023, the Dervallières swimming pool reopens its outdoor pool at Nantes (Loire-Atlantique) before a modernization project scheduled to last two years and which will start at the start of the school year in September.
The work aims to build a hall with a pool of 25 meters and six lanes and to create heated changing rooms/toilets. Repairs to the current outdoor swimming pool will also be carried out at the same time, which will make it possible to swim in the open air for up to six months of the year.
The reworked project
To stay within the nails of the envelope allocated by the municipal council (12.5 million euros) and due to additional budgetary costs identified during the studies, the community has slightly reworked its project in 2022 “without reducing the quality and the functionality of the equipment,” she said at the beginning of last fall.
Once the work is completed, a priori in the summer of 2025, the Dervallières swimming pool will be open all year (and no longer only in summer) and will thus be able to accommodate more schoolchildren, but also offer additional slots to swimmers.
Opening of the Dervallières swimming pool from Thursday June 15, 2023 (12:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. / 5:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.).
Opening hours throughout the summer.
