Quebecer Derick Brassard signed a one-year, $ 825,000 contract with the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday.
The veteran played the last season with the Arizona Coyotes, registering eight goals and 12 assists for 20 points in 53 games. The 33-year-old has often packed his bags in recent years: since 2017-2018, he has played for six different teams in the National League.
Selected sixth by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2006 entry draft, Brassard had 503 points, including 194 goals, in 905 career regular-season games. He has already hit the target 27 times, in 2015-16 with the New York Rangers.
