Several hundred supporters of Montpellier Hérault (MHSC) gathered this Sunday, March 14 in front of the Mercure hotel in Montpellier to encourage their players before the departure to Nîmes, where the Occitanie derby is to be played from 1 p.m. A demonstration of strength and fervor supported by the use of numerous smoke bombs and a few firecrackers.
It was in this context that a supporter was seriously injured in the head by an explosive device. The forty-year-old man, hit in the face by a smoke, was taken care of by the Montpellier firefighters and driven in a medical vehicle to the CHU.
