After a pilot phase, all of the approximately 500 DER agencies are now offering PCR tests. The customers of Dertour, ITS, Jahn Reisen, Meiers Weltreisen and Travelix can also use the chargeable gurgle tests if their destination requires proof of a negative test upon arrival, according to DER Touristik.

DER Touristik guests register with their transaction number at the Kneißler laboratory’s e-mail address and then receive a test kit for taking samples at home, which is then evaluated in the laboratory. The cost of Corona tests to gargle from DER amount to 129 euros for a single test for single travelers and 199 euros for a double test for two people. The guests bear the costs of the test. Many countries require negative PCR tests upon entry in order to prevent the spread of infection.
The PCR tests give customers planning security and clarity, says Ingo Burmester, CEO of DER Touristik Central Europe. “The biggest concern when planning a trip is currently whether you are healthy and whether you may have to be in quarantine while traveling,” Burmester continued.
