Vice Dmitry Svishchev evaluated the probability of suspension of the championship of Russia.
The chairman of the State Duma’s Committee on Physical Culture and Sport also spoke about how a partial mobilization could affect the attendance situation.
– Listen, life is such a complicated thing that anything can happen and you have to be ready for anything. But today I see no reason to stop football, the Russian league. To date, I have no such concerns.
– In which case is it possible to stop?
Don’t fantasize. I think the situation should improve, we should believe in the best, in our leader. Here, I believe, the situation is under control. The Russian football championship should already take place.
– The core of the fans are men aged about 15 to 50, some of whom fall under the first wave of mobilization. How do you think the latest events will affect the attendance situation?
– This is a difficult time. We have this for the first time in the modern history of Russia. So it’s hard to predict what might happen. But spectacular and iconic matches will continue to be in demand.
There is no need to look for intriguing moments that can affect match participation. I think the main reason that can affect today is the safety of the matches. And here I am sure that the organizers and our police can deliver all this at a high level.
Therefore, you should calmly plan a visit to your favorite team’s match. The teams really need it, even the stadiums. The clubs will go to great lengths to ensure that fans support their favorite players without fail. You can’t stop, life goes on.
– Is it possible that some fans will be given a summons at the entrance to the stadium?
– Here you have to ask questions to the military commissioners, I certainly don’t even have information, so I won’t seem very competent. People have different fantasies about where subpoenas can be issued. But let’s turn the question to the experts.
Times are not easy, it is necessary to strictly adhere to the laws of the Russian Federation. Everyone is equal before the law. And if we carefully consider our legislation and the subject of the decrees or instructions of our leadership, all this will quickly end, and the peaceful working and sporting life will quickly recover. We have to treat everything with a patriotic attitude, “Svishchev said.
