Deputy specialist in Education & Leisure Lenzburg

Hearing impaired and deaf-blind people need targeted, handicapped-related support in a variety of ways in order to be able to develop in the private and public environment. We at the Swiss Central Association for the Blind, SZBLIND, work for these people.

As part of a maternity replacement, we are looking for a communicative and independent person for our specialist office for people with a hearing impairment or deafblindness in Lenzburg on April 1, 2021 or by arrangement

Deputy Education & Leisure Specialist (75%)

with work location directly at Lenzburg train station. Maternity representation is planned until the end of 2021.

Your versatile task
Our program includes a wide range of social, cultural, sporting, creative and educational leisure activities, which are tailored to the special needs of adult hearing impaired and deaf-blind people (see the current program on our website under Affected, Educational and Leisure Activities, Downloads). We offer daytime events as well as activities lasting several days and overnight. Your task is to put this program together with the employees of the education and leisure team and to organize, carry out and follow-up some of the events in German-speaking Switzerland in full. You are present at most of the events and are the contact person for participants and their accompanying persons as well as for our partners at the locations.

Your broad profile
You have a diploma as a social pedagogue, socio-cultural animator or equivalent training. As an open personality with empathy, you can easily make contact with people, enjoy being out and about and have a driver’s license. You have a talent for organization and an accomplished PC user. You work goal-oriented, are creative, team-minded and resilient. You are flexible and ready to work twice a year over several days with overnight stays. Experience in working with disabled or elderly people, deaf and / or blind people or knowledge of sign language are an advantage, but not a requirement.
