Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev was appointed head of the working group to ensure the prevention and elimination of environmental pollution in the Usolye-Sibirskoye region. The corresponding decree was signed by the President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

“Appointing as the head of the interdepartmental working group to ensure the prevention and elimination of environmental pollution in the Usolye-Sibirskoye urban area of ​​the Irkutsk region, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation DN Patrushev,” – the document says.

Let us remind you that Usolyekhimprom is a chemical enterprise in the city of Usolye-Sibirsky, Irkutsk region. Its production activities were suspended in 2010 because the company went bankrupt and did not fulfill its obligations to eliminate accumulated damages. The total area of ​​the Usolyekhimprom industrial site is 610 hectares, with more than 200 industrial facilities located on it.
