Deputy of Morena asks for sanction for using Amber Alert for Sheinbaum meme

The legislator for Morena of the Mexico City Congress, Xóchitl Bravo, announced that she will present a point of agreement to ask to sanction the PAN legislator América Rangel, for the publication of a meme of the head of Government Claudia Sheinbaum.

Rangel accused the head of government in a video of wanting to put her in jail for publishing the meme: “Morena’s regime is reaching alarming levels” and that “we are not going to shut up, we will continue to point out the illegal campaign advanced by the chief of government”.

Given the controversy it generated in social networks, through her Twitter account, the brunette Xóchitl Bravo clarified that the request for the sanction of the deputy América Rangel Lorenzana is for having altered a file of the Amber Alert and for their misuse of the logos of the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office.

The ‘meme’ that originated the discussion

On the morning of November 3, América Rangel published on its social networks a template with the design used by the capital’s Prosecutor’s Office to disseminate the search files for missing persons. In the image, a photo of the head of government was placed, who was the one “wanted”.

The meme was to criticize that Sheinbaum left Mexico City, to participate in a tour with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador through some states of the Republic.

“Unfortunately we have a headless capital government, without direction in public policies, it is more concerned about walking around the country, than doing the job for which it was elected,” Rangel said in a press release published in his official Web site, where he also accused that they are “” escapades’ for early campaign events.”

The Moreno deputy pointed out that the opposition misinterpreted her message and that her intention is to ask that the search tools be respected and that the law not be violated.

“This, of course, in addition to being a mockery, is a grievance for families who have the pain and pain of searching for one of their missing relatives,” he said.
