The important deadlines until the end of the year for direct payments to farmers were presented by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Yanislav Yanchev and experts of the Ministry of Agriculture to farmers in Veliko Tarnovo.
For some of the interventions in the field of agroecology, the acceptance of documents is until September 30, the experts pointed out.
In December, the cost justification documents for the Preservation and Restoration of Soil Potential eco-scheme (Eco-ZVPP) and the Eco-scheme Reducing the use of pesticides (Eco-NIP) are due to be submitted to the SEU.
The submission of documents for tied support proving the sale of fruits and vegetables is scheduled for January 2025.
The acceptance of projects for the young, new and smallest farmers under the Strategic Plan will be in the period November 2024 – January 2025 and the project proposals will be submitted to the SEU.
The planned support for very small farmers is 20,000 euros, for new farmers 30,000,000 euros and for young farmers 40,000 euros. Applicants for assistance as new farmers must not have been engaged in agricultural activity for more than one year at the date of application and must be between the ages of 41 and 65.
The changes in the Statutory Requirements (LSR) and in the Standards for maintaining the land in good agricultural and ecological condition (DZES) were presented to the farmers. Farmers were introduced to the Area Monitoring System through satellite images and the planned changes to the Electronic Service System (ESS).
The meeting was part of a series of trainings for farmers with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Agricultural Advisory Service on the preconditions for interventions in the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for the period 2023-2027. The trainings for farmers continue with meetings in Pleven on September 27, Montana on September 30 and Sofia on October 1, 2024.
