Deputy Minister Yanchev discussed with farmers the preliminary conditions in the Strategic Plan – 2024-09-25 16:02:00

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Yanislav Yanchev and a team of the Ministry of Agriculture discussed with farmers in Varna the preliminary conditions for the interventions in the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas for the period 2023-2027, related to payment of area and animals. Farmers from Dobrich, Shumen, Silistra and Razgrad also participated in the meeting. The discussion is part of the series of trainings for farmers with experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food, DFZ and the National Agricultural Advisory Service.

“The idea of these meetings is to familiarize farmers with the conditions and requirements for applying for direct payments. I expect that all your questions will be answered here and that we will find solutions to the cases that have arisen together,” said Deputy Minister Yanchev.

Farmers became familiar with the changes in the Statutory Requirements (LSR) and in the Standards for Maintaining the Land in Good Agricultural and Ecological Condition (DZES). The experts pointed out the common errors in entering the data and documents when applying for the eco schemes. With regard to the diaries for plant protection measures and fertilizing, clarifications were made for their correct filling.

Livestock farmers have raised questions about the proof of meat and milk produced following recent changes to the requirements for coupled support.

A team from the DFZ presented the changes in the Electronic Services System (ESS) and the new functionalities that will facilitate users and enable feedback. Farmers gave recommendations to improve the system and the process of delineating the areas. They were also informed about the capabilities of the Area Monitoring System through satellite images, including for tracking plant vegetation or fires.

In the framework of the discussion, the farmers were informed about the upcoming adoptions under the Strategic Plan by the end of the year. The meeting lasted over four hours, with farmers having the opportunity to ask a number of questions and receive detailed answers.

The next meetings with agricultural producers within the campaign are in Veliko Tarnovo on September 26, Pleven on September 27, Montana on September 30 and Sofia on October 1, 2024. The trainings are organized by the Management Unit of the National CAP Network and are financed by the Program for the Development of rural areas 2014-2020.
