Deputy Minister of Religion’s Presence at Son’s Political Inauguration Causes Embarrassment and Calls for Resignation

Member of the PPP DPP Department Erwin Azmi highlighted the presence of Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut Tauhid at the inauguration of his son, Najmi Mumtaza Rabbany as a cadre of the Perindo party. Ermin considered Zainut’s presence very embarrassing.

Because according to him, not only because he is still the deputy minister of religion proposed by PPP, but Zainut should have focused on his duties at the Ministry of Religion in managing preparations for the pilgrimage, controlling rogue Umrah travel, fostering religious harmony, and other tasks.

“Zainut Tauhid is an example of a public official who has no ethics and no longer has shame. He was given an honorable position by PPP as deputy minister, but was busy taking care of other parties,” Erwin explained in his statement, Saturday (29/4/2023).

The Deputy Chairperson of PW GMPI DKI Jakarta added that it was only fitting for Zainut to be removed from the post of Deputy Minister of Religion. The reason is that Zainut no longer has the criteria and sensitivity to become a public official.

“If he had ethics, Zainut should have resigned from the chair of Deputy Minister of Religion, otherwise he should be removed immediately with no respect,” said Erwin.

Erwin also appealed to all PPP cadres, especially senior cadres, to focus on growing the party. He added that it was not like Zainut who took part in the event part of another party’s campaign. Because of that, he also proposed to the PPP DPP to propose a reshuffle of Zainut tauhid from the Deputy Minister of Religion position.

Not only that, Djainuddin Lonek also conveyed the same thing. He even asked the Plt Ketum PPP Muhammad Mardiono to summon Zainut to impose sanctions and proposed that Zainut be removed from the chair of deputy minister of religion.

“Political parties have the authority to propose that their cadres be removed from cabinet seats,” concluded Lonek.

As previously reported, the General Chairperson (Ketum) of Perindo Hary Tanoesoedibjo inaugurated his new cadre who is the former Secretary of the DKI Jakarta PPP Regional Leadership Council (DPW), Najmi Mumtaza Rabbany, as Daily Chair of the Perindo DKI Jakarta DPW Party. It turned out that Deputy Minister of Religion Zainut Tauhid, Najmi’s father, was also present at the inauguration ceremony.

The inauguration ceremony was held at the Perindo DPP office, Jalan Pangeran Diponegoro, Menteng, Jakarta, Friday (28/4/2023). Zainut and his wife were present in the event room. Zainut was seen wearing a batik with green nuances and a hat. Zainut sits not far from Perindo’s central leadership.

Hary Tanoe welcomed Zainut’s arrival at his party’s event. He praised Najmi for being extraordinary despite her young age.

“What we are proud of, Mr. Deputy Minister of Religion, was also present, thank you, also witnessed his son being inaugurated. He is still 26 years old, yes, but already extraordinary,” said Hary Tanoe in his speech.
