Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhammad Anis Matta attended the Preparatory Meeting for the Special High Level Conference (Gathering) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League, Riyadh. Anis emphasized that Indonesia is for the struggle for Palestinian independence.
“The Palestinian struggle for independence is the basis for the creation of the OIC. That is why we are all Palestinians and we must help the Palestinian struggle,” said Anis in front of ministers and delegations from countries, announced on Monday (11/11). /2024).
Not just once, Anis emphasized three times that ‘We are Palestine’. It showed Indonesia’s commitment to Palestinian independence.

“Words must be translated immediately into concrete actions, including ensuring sustainable humanitarian aid to Palestine,” he said.
Deputy Foreign Minister Anis Matta led the Indonesian delegation at the Preparatory Meeting for the Special High Level Conference (KTT) of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Arab League, held in Riyadh on 10 November 2024. A Special Summit will be held on 11 November 2024, to discuss once again the efforts of the OIC and the Arab League to stop the Israeli riots in Palestine and Lebanon.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia was the chairman of the Preparatory Meeting, and representatives from countries that are members of the OIC and the Arab League such as Algeria, Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, Palestine and Turkiye were present. Indonesia’s presence at the Special Conference is in line with the mandate of the 1945 Constitution to always reject colonialism and fight for world peace, as well as the commitment of President Prabowo Subianto to -realize Palestinian independence.
