Deputy Mayor of Solo positively corona and never met Jokowi, the Palace spoke up

KONTAN.CO.ID – JAKARTA. Solo Deputy Mayor Achmad Purnomo was declared corona positive (Covid-19). Even though a few days ago, Achmad had met with President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

Responding to this, the Head of the Presidential Secretariat Heru Budi Hartono ensured that the Palace had implemented strict health protocols every time the president met or met with state or community officials.

“First we need to emphasize here, that every official, minister or community who will meet the president will do a strict health protocol,” Heru said, Friday (24/7).

Meanwhile, health protocols carried out include rapid test, use a mask, and keep applying distance. In fact, according to Heru, even inside the Palace chairs and tables have been given a distance.

Not only when receiving guests, Heru also ensured that every device in the Palace and those serving the president were still regularly inspected. Jokowi will also carry out a medical examination today.

“Today, by chance, President Jokowi’s schedule has a medical and may be included swab and others, “said Heru.

Although the Deputy Mayor of Solo was confirmed positive for Covid-19, Heru also said that it was not certain that he had been infected when he met with the president or not.

With this incident, Heru also said that Jokowi will not reduce work intensity but there is a possibility that there will be a reduction in the capacity of people who attend meetings or who meet with Jokowi, despite strict health protocols.

“This afternoon for example at 15:00 WIB in Bogor there was a meeting with 30 people, maybe we would think we would reduce it to 20, with a distance that might be a little further,” Heru said.
