The deputy head of the Union of Funeral Companies Stoyan Makreev revealed details about the detained mourning agent, accused of illegal burials on the air of “Hello, Bulgaria”.
According to him, the discovered mass graves are located inside the cemetery park, not outside it.
“On May 23, I last saw him at 11:00 in the cemetery with another woman who looked like a homeless man and the so-called head of the Criminal Police. It is doubtful what the three of them did together, “he explained.

“There was a funeral in our cemetery on Saturday. Before it all started, the gravediggers who were preparing an old ancestral tomb saw from the side that there were bones. In order not to frighten the relatives of the deceased, they threw 2-3 shovels on top. Then the priest’s wife called me and told me what they had seen. I immediately gave the signal. It was obvious that the graves were hastily made and the bodies were buried shallowly. The area is isolated and therefore no one found out about what happened. I know from the locals that the detained funeral agent is incorrect, “she said.
