Deputy General Director of KUL – Saulius Budinas

From April 8 Saulius Budinas has assumed the position of Deputy General Director for Infrastructure and Development of Klaipėda University Hospital (KUL). He won the public tender for a five-year term.

“I am very happy that our team is getting stronger and that Saulius is joining it. He has significant leadership experience, strategic thinking and a great desire to grow Klaipėda University Hospital together. I am convinced that together we will implement many successful development projects of the institution”, says KUL General Director Dr. Audrius Šimaitis.

S. Budinas accepts his new position as a challenge and an opportunity to contribute to the creation and development of the third university-level medical center in the country.

“I appreciate that I will be working together with top-level managers. I will strive to implement the infrastructure projects smoothly and efficiently, ensuring the highest level of quality services for the patients of Western Lithuania. Together with the team, we will work so that Klaipėda University Hospital will gradually meet the challenges of future healthcare and be able to match not only Lithuanian but also European university hospitals”, S. Budinas, Deputy General Director of KUL for infrastructure and development, shared his vision. To overcome new challenges, he intends to use his ability to make quick decisions, assessing their risks and prospects, a wide range of knowledge, and most importantly, determination and stubbornness.

First of all, S. Budinas will focus his efforts on the modernization of the KUL Infectious Diseases Clinic and the creation of an Emergency Clinic.

“These are priority hospital infrastructure projects. We will reconstruct the premises, update the medical equipment. In parallel, we will rapidly develop the project of a new Emergency Department meeting global standards. The implemented changes will ensure even better quality treatment services for patients and improve working conditions for the institution’s employees”, said the deputy head of KUL about the upcoming plans.

S. Budinas has accumulated more than 30 years of significant management experience in both the private and public sectors.
