“Deputy Amal warns of a catastrophe as she tackles the notion of flying goats”

“Lebanese Debate”

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri decided to postpone the convening of the parliament’s bureau, which was scheduled for next Monday to prepare for a legislative session, and this was announced by caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati after his meeting with Berri yesterday, so what were the reasons that prompted Berri to postpone the convening of the bureau? the Council?!

In this context, a member of the “Development and Liberation” bloc, Representative Ashraf Beydoun, indicated that “from the first moment that Berri tried to call the bureau to convene, there were direct negative responses from some forces and blocs known to approach the matter and anticipate the matter by not attending any legislative session before electing a president of the republic.” .

In an interview with the “Lebanese Debate”, Beydoun said: “These blocs, with their responses, disregarded all crucial, necessary and urgent matters that concern all the Lebanese and the regions. We are still in political distress at the expense of people’s concerns and interests.”

He added, “There are legislative matters that cannot be escaped from, regardless of any matter. There is a common pain for all Lebanese, including the educational file and some financial and banking matters, as well as some international treaties that if Lebanon does not sign, it will lose it.”

Beydoun continued, “When Berri saw this reality and the stagnation and the continuation of the equation of a goat, even if it flew, he postponed the meeting of the bureau and considered that the issue had become a waste of time.”

And he continued, “The data and circumstances are between Speaker Berri and he takes the decision when the conditions conducive to convening a legislative session come to address some critical issues, and we cannot continue in this way, and every procrastination increases the pain more.”

Regarding political forces describing necessity legislation as “heresy,” Beydoun replied, “All the forces that say participated in a legislative session in 2015 and were the owners of the idea of necessity. In the past they approved it and followed the money laundering law, and today they reject the idea of necessity legislation. The matter has become strange.”

Beydoun concluded by saying, “Some issues must be addressed, otherwise we will face a disaster. Speaker Berri does not impose a specific agenda, but rather says, ‘Come on, let’s discuss and agree on a common agenda, and let us go to a general assembly and a legislative session to address these points.'”
