The deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Alexey Yuravlev, called on the Russian air defense systems to be ready for combat in advance to combat the F-16s, which will be supplied to Ukraine by the United States.
“We need to prepare the entire Russian air defense system in advance to fight with American fighters… There is no doubt that sooner or later Ukraine will buy F-16s.”
According to information obtained by SIA from Russian websites, this was said by a Russian deputy.
According to Yuravlev, even if the Ukrainian pilots do not have time to train, the American servicemen will be able to sit on the control panels. In addition, the deputy noted that in the conditions of modern warfare, it is necessary to urgently modernize the existing air defense systems.
It should be noted that earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba asked other countries for the F-16 fighter jets needed to restore global food security to Kyiv.
According to him, with the help of such planes, the Armed Forces of Ukraine will be able to keep Russia away from the grain corridor in the Black Sea.
Meanwhile, Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said that the issue of supplying F-16 fighter jets to Kiev is difficult, but is being discussed.
