The Chamber of Deputies has purchased new laptops for new deputies and their colleagues. 430 laptops were acquired, including docking stations. The contract won by the company Auroton Computer, cost 12.4 million crowns without VAT (fifteen million with taxes).
MEPs received laptops from the Japanese brand Dynabook. It is the successor to Toshiba, which has been producing laptops for many years. Toshiba Client Solutions became part of Sharp in 2018, which acquired an 80 percent stake for $ 36 million. Sharp is owned by Taiwan’s Foxconn.
Dynabook specifically supplied the House with Portege X30L-J-166 models. They have a 13.3 ”touch screen, Intel Core i5–1145G7 processor, 16 GB RAM (2 × 8 GB DDR4 at 3200 MHz), integrated graphics or a 256 GB M.2 SSD from Samsung (PCI Express 3.0). The TPM 2.0 security chip was required in the public procurement, and in the case of Dynabook, it is supplied by Infineon. It also includes Windows 10 Professional under an OEM license. Laptops have a warranty period of 36 months. The service supplier is the company C System CZ. Here in the middle of last year bought by Thein group controlled Tomáš Budník a J&T.
