Before the announcement of the withdrawal of the UDI from the dialogue for the pension reform due to the non-removal of the Minister of Social Development in the context of the theft of the organization’s computers, Deputy Daniel Manouchehri, head of the Bancada PS, lashed out at the opposition for “the zero contribution to the country” and the constant requests for resignation of ministers who “only waste time that could be used to build proposals for the country.”
“We have an idle, lying and bad milk opposition. They have infamously wanted to involve Minister Giorgio Jackson in the theft of computers. They are not serious. The opposition does not contribute anything to the country, their only concern is throwing mud and lying”, criticized Manouchehri.
Along these lines, the PS legislator recalled that “every day they go out to ask ministers to resign”, alluding to events such as the recent requests for resignation and constitutional accusations against the Minister of Social Development himself and the head of the Housing portfolio, Carlos Montes.
“They should occupy their time in useful things for Chile. Retracting from the dialogue is an undemocratic attitude”, concluded the legislator for the Coquimbo Region.
Likewise, the socialist deputy Daniella Cicardini accused the UDI of “blackmailing the government” for this case. “For the UDI, the presumption of innocence is only useful in some cases, even though Justice Jackson has not been accused of anything at all. Unlike the long history and record of the UDI itself, of its militants and close ones, and they don’t even wrinkle, ”she indicated.
“Worse still, it is totally petty and politically miserable to try to indulge in such low blackmail at the expense of the pensioners who are still living pensions of misery. Shame on them,” said the deputy for the Atacama Region.
