Deputies agreed to raise the excise rate for e-cigarette liquid, regardless of whether it contains nicotine, BGNES reported.
The people’s representatives accepted the following increase: BGN 0.30 per milliliter from August 1, 2023; BGN 0.35 per milliliter from January 1, 2024; BGN 0.40 per milliliter from January 1, 2025, and BGN 0.45 per milliliter from January 1, 2026.
In addition, the deputies accepted that the excise rate for tobacco substitutes containing nicotine should be increased as follows: BGN 90 per kg from August 1, 2023; BGN 95 per kilogram from January 1, 2024; BGN 105 per kilogram from January 1, 2025, and BGN 115 per kilogram from January 1, 2026.
