Albacete tried to react, but found a Deportivo well planted and effective on the counterattack. Before the break, the locals had a clear opportunity to tie, but Agus Medina’s header, after another good cross from Fidel, went wide.
In the second half, Deportivo came out determined to put the game away. Yeremay, in another quality play, scored 1-3 in the 53rd minute, leaving the match uphill for Albacete. Despite the local team’s attempts to close the gap, the Galicians continued to arrive dangerously. In the 74th minute, Cristian Herrera scored the fourth goal for Deportivo after a great play by Mella.

Fidel closed the gap for Albacete in the 80th minute, making it 2-4 in a chaotic play inside the Galician area, but any hope of a comeback vanished when Mella scored his second goal of the night after an assist from Herrera, sealing the match. with the final 2-5.
Deportivo, with this victory, gets its first three points as a visitor of the season, while Albacete is left in a compromised situation, especially in the defensive aspect, where it showed many shortcomings that will have to be corrected for the next matches.
