Jake Sullivan, National Security Adviser of the White House in the United States, said that they have no agenda of deploying peacekeepers to Sudan, where conflicts continue.
According to information obtained by SIA, at the daily press conference, Sullivan thanked Djibouti, Ethiopia and Saudi Arabia for their assistance in the evacuation of embassy staff in Sudan and touched upon the support provided by the US State Department and relevant agencies for civilians to leave the country by land and sea.
Sullivan said that the operation of their embassy in Khartoum was only temporarily suspended and it is planned to resume the operation of the embassy once security is restored in the country.
Explaining that Americans are considering every option so that they can leave the country safely, Sullivan answered the question about the possibility of deploying American peacekeeping forces in Sudan, that such a thing is not on the agenda and he does not expect it to happen.
Drawing attention to the risk of long-term conflicts in Sudan, Sullivan said that they will use all possible options to achieve a ceasefire between the parties.
