Memphis Depay has his sought after transfer to FC Barcelona. De Telegraaf reports that the transition from the striker of Olympique Lyonnais to the Catalan top club has been completed.
At Barcelona, Depay is reunited with coach Ronald Koeman, under whose leadership he has become a prominent player in the Dutch national team.
Barcelona is reportedly paying 25 million for Depay initially. At a later stage, the Catalan club will transfer an additional 5 million euros to Lyon. Bonuses can even increase the final transfer amount by several million.
The arrival of the 26-year-old attacker had been in the air for a while. Depay had previously reached a personal agreement. The name of Georginio Wijnaldum is also frequently associated with Barcelona.
