(Reuters) – Meta Platforms, the parent company of Facebook, announced on Friday evening the departure of its communications director, John Pinette, who will be replaced on an interim basis by Chris Norton, vice president in charge of group communications at the level international.
“John Pinette has left Meta. We are grateful for his positive contributions during an intense and significant time in the company’s history, and we wish him good luck for the future,” the social network wrote in a communicated.
Solicited, a spokesperson for Meta declined to specify the reasons for the departure of John Pinette, who had been appointed vice president of global communications in April 2019, according to the group’s website.
