Departments of the Central Bank of Libya hold a joint meeting

The administrations of the Central Bank of Libya, Tripoli and Benghazi, held a joint meeting in Tunis, during which views were exchanged and many issues of common interest were discussed, in a positive atmosphere between the two parties.

According to the official page of the Central Bank on Facebook, the meeting comes to strengthen cooperation and continue the unification process between the Central Bank of Libya, Tripoli and Benghazi.

During the meeting, it was agreed to hold more joint meetings in Libya within the headquarters of the Central Bank.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the group participated in a workshop organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

On January 20, 2022, the Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, Al-Siddiq Al-Kabeer, and his deputy, Ali Al-Hibri, announced, during their meeting in Tunis, the actual launch of the process of reunifying the Central Bank of Libya.

During the meeting, a contract was signed to provide consulting services with the leading professional services company, Deloitte, to support the implementation of the agreed reunification plan.

According to what the bank stated at the time, the reunification map will be in 4 stages, which will result in an advanced operational model for the unified central bank, which simulates international best practices.
