In the canton of Beuzeville (Your), the first round of these departmental elections will not have reproduced its 2015 result. Unlike the polls 6 years ago, it is not the National Gathering who comes out on top in the first round.
The pair Micheline Paris (outgoing advisor) – Thomas Elexhauser, supported by the departmental majority, is in the lead with 43% of votes. The far-right party, led by Stéphanie Lemaître and Jean-Luc Thomas shows him 26.07% of the votes cast. These two duos have qualified for the second round which will take place on Sunday 27 June.
On the other side, the pairs Gilbert Larcher – Sylviane Lebrasseur (Various right) and Véronique Carel – Daniel Guiraud (UDI) are eliminated. They respectively collected 16.16 and 14.77% of the votes.
A record abstention rate
Like the rest of France, these departmental and regional elections were ignored in the canton of Beuzeville. Slightly above the national average and the Eure department, there is 35.16% participation.
