The Plenary Assembly of the Corrèze Departmental Council was held this Friday, February 24. On the agenda, among other things, the policy of aid to local authorities, with the establishment of a three-year contract. Concrete explanations, with the town of Eglise-aux-Bois.
On the borders of Haute-Vienne, Creuse and Corrèze, and belonging to the latter department, l’Eglise-aux-Bois, a small village of barely 58 souls.
The municipality does not have a small investment budget, less than €60,000. But it can rely on state aid, and also on that of the departmental council.
Thus, it can already count on €6,500 in annual departmental aid, and this, for the next three years.
We do the work, we send the invoices and we have the money. And we don’t lose a penny. If we only spend €4,500, for example, we are sure that the remaining sum will be available the following year.
Simone Jamilloux-Verdier, mayor of Eglise-aux-Bois.
What therefore consider road works, or on municipal buildings. All supported by Corrèze Ingénierie, a departmental structure that comes to help communities, on technical and/or energy aspects.
Municipalities such as Eglise-aux-Bois can also count on the Communal Solidarity Grantintended for rural villages of less than 200 inhabitants, which makes it possible to finance projects, up to €3,000.
Between 2023 and 2025, the Corrèze department will help the municipalities up to 62 million euros, i.e. an increase in the envelope of nearly 30%, compared to the previous year.
